Anna Marano was born and raised in Amherstburg, Ontario, to a family of Italian immigrants. Food was, and is, everything to them. She has always loved cooking, baking, and experimenting in her own kitchen, so it felt natural to turn to cooking after university and a small stint in publishing. After attending the Stratford Chefs School she remained in Stratford working at a variety of restaurants, which included both fine dining and family bistros. She believes food is an artistic and emotional expression, and a sign of togetherness, which is why she truly loves what she does.
